
As a long-term substitute teacher, I create engaging lesson plans that support cultural inclusivity and collaborate to implement 504/IEP accommodations to maximize student educational and behavioral success. I maintain strong classroom management by including positive behavioral intervention strategies. I actively communicate with parents to optimize student success.
I maintained teacher classroom expectations, followed the provided lesson plans, and enforced district-wide policies. I communicated with office personnel and homeroom teachers as needed to ensure transitions in a timely manner.
I supported and improved student success by piloting a literacy intervention program with 3rd-5th graders. Once successful, it became a school-wide intervention serving all K-8th-grade students, with an overall increase of 62 percent in literacy skills.
