• Support clients in accessing harm reduction supplies and information
• Ensure seamless flow throughout the continuum of care by facilitating referrals to services to meet the needs of the service user
• Provide education to service users in proper use of harm reduction equipment and elements of safe use
• Monitor and ensure the safety of all participants in the post consumption area.
• Prepared harm reduction Kits for clients
• Support service users to test their drugs and explore harm reduction strategies based on results.
• Monitor and ensure appropriate client flow and number of participants into and out of the consumption/post consumption areas in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Support compliance with CTS policies and procedures including clear communication of and ongoing coaching of service users.
• Support clients in accessing harm reduction supplies and information.
• Support CTS clients, who may present with a variety of acute and chronic illnesses, to administer their own injections.
• Provide education to service users and partners in proper use of harm reduction equipment and elements of safe use.
• Monitor and ensure the safety of all participants in the post consumption area.
• Provide overdose prevention education, including education on overdose response, and support with the development of individual safety plans.
• Support service users to test their drugs and explore harm reduction strategies based on results.
• Utilize conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills to resolve and/or de-escalate conflict.
• Use brief assessment, active listening, and crisis response skills as needed in situations with service users.
• Demonstrate appropriate boundaries with service users and other CTS staff members.
• Maintains high level of confidentiality when working with sensitive and personal information.
