The research area focus was on investigating the Sodium-Potassium-ATPase and its regulation by cardiac steroids such as Ouabain, Digoxin and Bufalin to observe how these cardiac steroids effect the heart function and determine the levels of endogenous Sodium-Potassium-ATPase inhibitors on pathological states such as hypertension, preeclampsia, malignancies, manic depressive illnesses and other conditions.

• Applying different cardiac steroids in different amounts in a zebra-fish medium and measure the heart perimeter during systolic and diastolic times under a special device that captures pictures and has the tools to do accurate measurements at the same time it transfers pictures with measurements to a connected computer.
