Rotary Arm Stretch Wrapping Machine Attachment For Single Electric Pallet Jack (Capstone)

  • Developed a machine concept, conducted fatigue analysis and simulations, and optimized the existing machinery by reducing its footprint.
  • Designed the automation code to reduce machine and human interface using software's.

Multi-Server Single Queue Simulation Model

  • Required designing a drive thru queue system of cars by recording data from a certain restaurant.
  • Then use the data collected and the Pro model system to create a simulation that would estimate the number of customers as well as the time it would for the serving time for each customer.

Casting Pattern

  • Designing a 3D casting model for a certain object. Helped in understanding the several types of molds and how they work. Also, the dimensions of the design were supposed to meet the given data together with taking the errors in account.
  • With the help of 3D designing software a mold and object was made.

Design Of Manufacturing Plant

  • Developed a manufacturing facility blueprint tailored to produce spur gears as part of the ENIN 448 (Facilities Planning and Design) course. The design adhered to fundamental facility planning principles in operations management, emphasizing maximal space utilization.
  • The spur gear facility integrated cutting-edge machinery, streamlined processes, effective material handling systems, and meticulous layout design to enhance productivity significantly. Throughout the design process, rigorous cost control measures were implemented, encompassing meticulous budget planning, expense reduction, and comprehensive alternative evaluations.

Fluid Mechanics Projects

  • Designed the piping system for a sprinkler system where the pressure, fluid statics, mass, energy and momentum, steady state internal flow, flow measurement, external flow drag and lift, dimensional analysis had to be calculated as well as the pipe measurements, diameter and fittings had to be selected.
  • Designed a shell and tube heat exchanger for exhaust coming from 4 diesel engines which were heating city water. Hot city water was used to power a generator. This project included a full project management plan, costs analysis, equipment selection as well as HAZOP.
