These grades helped to develop basic learning skills.

I had to work online through COVID in grades 1 – 2. This developed basic computer and iPad technology skills like typing.

• Lego Club Member (Grade 3)

• I was a Morning Mentor in fourth grade. That gave me the unique opportunity to go into a kindergarten class and help a teacher twice a week.
• I was a safety patrol in fifth grade, allowing me to report to a post every morning, developing responsibility. I also got to help out the bus driver onboard.
• I was the MC at my school’s spring concert, which involved speaking in front of a crowd and keeping the audience informed on who was performing next.
• National Elementary Honors Society Member

• I was in Double Accelerated Math, a math course in which we learned new concepts faster than others.
• I was a very dedicated student.
• My average in all classes was an “A” all 4 quarters.
• I went into the AVID elective, developing skills necessary for being prosperous later in life (e.g. public speaking, college + career research), for the second semester.
• I went to a history competition (W.O.W. or Worlds of Wisdom) that covered multiple topics throughout US History, World History, and current events.
• I earned the Golden Mustang award, one that is only given to 6 students who excel in many academic areas and have invaluable traits.
• I became more interested in U.S. history this year.
• Elected to Secretary for Martinez Student Government in 2024.
• Summer Bridging Grades 6-7:

1. I took/am currently taking be taking classes in "business", "speechwriting", and "law of the air."

2. I got/will be getting the opportunity to be a Leader-in-Training(LIT) at Mindful Kids Inc. Camp for 2 weeks of this Summer.

This year, I developed an interest in math and U.S. Government, while trying to maintain positive relationships with my teachers!

Some highlights so far include:

- Studying for tests (most weeks there have been more than one)

- Receiving the Student of the Month award for Accountability and Uplifting.

- Becoming a member of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS).

- Taking my first high-school credit class (Algebra 1 Honors)

- Helping one of my teachers to design a whiteboard to relay information about the daily activities while creating layouts that appealed to middle schoolers.

- I was a member of the Yearbook staff, which requires an application and a rigorous selection process to join. This developed skills in online designing, writing, and photography, as well as allowed me to enjoy outside-of-school projects like taking pictures at a baseball game.

- I took the Beginning Spanish elective, a suggested course to make the high-school credit Spanish 1 easier.
