Dear John, David and SMA Leaders; I am pleased to present my C.V. as my application for the Director, Client Solutions role. I have been a part of the Scotia Mortgage Authority family since 2010 when I joined Scotiabank as a Sr. Regional Insurance Manager for ScotiaLife Financial and recently as the Senior Manager, Client Solutions for BC & Yukon Region. In my role as a SRIM, I built relationships with SMA, the Retail & Small Business networks and Home Financing Solutions as a primary coach and resource for all things Creditor Protection. I elevated my teams to podium finishes and in my final year, earned the Best of the Best Top Individual Award within the high-performing and elite Sr. RIM team. I carried forward my sales philosophy and expertise to my CSA team-members to deliver top-notch results in my Senior Manager, Client Solutions role for the last 4 years, working again closely with my colleagues in SMA, Home Financing Solutions and Retail & Small Business to deliver a seamless, advice-based journey to our indirect mortgage customers to continue to move the customer loyalty dial. I have also supported Direct Onboarding Branches so they too can enjoy the same success and loyalty from the vast opportunities that the Indirect Mortgage channel offers, while leading Regional initiatives to promote, retain and attract Top Talent. I have met or exceeded my financial targets in all 4 years while building on my cPulse/NPS scores year over year. As at the time of this writing, my BC East team places 1st in All Canada for CA Results, Protected Balances and cPulse results of 74.5 against a branch baseline in the 60s. I bring to the SMA Senior Leadership team, rich experiences and insights from 10 years of experience in the field, understanding the perspectives of the front-line ambassadors for Scotiabank: the Client Solutions Advisors and Advisors from the Direct Onboarding branches, our Mortgage Originators: the HFAs and our Brokers….and finally, the customers they bring or return to Scotiabank. I want to drive the strategic depth of the indirect customer base by continuing to upskill to deliver meaningful and relevant advice and white glove service while influencing the delivery of key accountabilities that would further elevate customer loyalty and results. I would be elated to share with you, my thoughts and business ideas in how to increase cross-sell from the ADMC opportunities and highlighting SMA and HFS as partners of choice with the Retail distribution team. Let’s share our story together as I would be the ideal candidate for the Director, Client Solutions team to promote partnerships for the betterment of the customers, SMA and the Bank at large. Thank you in advance for your consideration, Nina Sohi-Brar Nina Sohi-Brar, MA Senior Manager, Client Solutions nina.sohibrar@scotiabank.com “I am a high-energy, empathetic leader that is #RESULTS focused by building an engaged, high-performance workforce through recognition and accountability. Nina and I really started working together when the CSA program was launched. There was an initiative to have the CSAs and Investment Specialists work closely together. This is where I really got to see Nina in action. She and I worked together on the delivery of this strategy and execution of this initiative in BC. I found Nina to be open to ideas, participative in discussions and nothing ever fell through the cracks. She was and is a great partner to work with in regards to the two teams collaborating. Nina does a great job recognizing her team’s accomplishments and highlights her team’s collaboration successes. She sends Applauses to her team and partners and posts great stories and results on the BC Workplace. Nina is well regarded in BC. She is involved in regional initiatives outside of her role. Again, I had the opportunity to see her in action when she rolled out a mentor program in BC last year. She did a great job organizing everything and everyone. I love Nina’s positive, can-do attitude. She is a delight to work with. To this day, I find her to be one of the most supportive and collaborative leaders in BC.” John Sarkhanian, Regional Vice-President, Scotia Mortgage Authority - Prairies: “I worked with Nina from April 2018 to July 2020 in my capacity as RVP for Pacific Region with Scotia Mortgage Authority.
