As a board member at ARTCITE.INC. in Windsor, Ontario, I reviewed over 120 applications and selected 6 artists based on the space available, their portfolios, CVs, and project proposals. As part of a five-member board, I engaged in extensive discussions to finalize my selections.

• Managed administrative tasks such as grading, scheduling.
• Managed to help the development of an understanding of issues which have been addressed by contemporary artists and critics contextualized in history and artistic practices with an emphasis on individual students' concerns
• Managed to demonstrate an understanding of how students works fit in the larger context of contemporary art.
• Helped Students to be able to trace the lineage of their conceptual and material concerns.
• Understand and interpret critical frameworks of contemporary practice.
• Made students ready to present their own works to an audience in the form of an artist talk. Contextualizing their practice and answering audience questions about their methods.
• Helped Students to understand the role of research in contemporary practice, and apply research methods to their practices.

Assisting the studio in completing the project by managing materials, hosting workshops, interacting with all the volunteers who want to join the project, assisting in installing and planning gallery events for the entire show at Artcite Inc in Windsor, ON."

As part of AWE’s Centre for Art and Wellness, participants from the Multicultural Council of Windsor and Essex County’s Newcomer Women’s Arts and Crafts Group partook in an abstract painting series led by artist Niku Koochak.

With the support of their artistic mentor, the women gathered in a safe space where they were encouraged to explore new artistic skills that support their mental health and overall well-being. In addition to the social and emotional benefits of this program, the newcomer women are able to make new connections, learn new skills, improve language ability, and gain self-confidence. Each of their women harnessed the power of art to communicate their own journeys and lived experiences through painting.

Some of their works are currently on display on the second and third floors of Art Windsor-Essex.
