  • Working together with a collaborative interdisciplinary team including physicians, other NP’s, RN’s, Social workers, and administrative staff, the NP would manage, direct and provide care within this specialized high risk population
  • This position requires comprehensive knowledge for smoking cessation strategies including nicotine replacement therapy and ability to prescription of narcotic; Suboxone for chemical addiction management
  • Care management planning and case review within a team to therapeutically treat alcohol dependence using behavioral strategies and medications to reduce /limit cravings, along with compassionate care to this high risk and diverse population with the lens of trauma-informed care

  • Skills included scrub assist in the operating room, a large component to care in teaching and management courses to junior staff; midwives and junior doctors in maternity care
  • I taught aqua natal classes, and enjoyed the challenge of complex care in a rotational role on a day to day basis through prenatal care, delivery unit care and postpartum care, including skills pertaining to those of an obstetrical nurse, but with delivery and post partum care as per the role of a UK educated midwife
