My work is my passion born out of my own personal struggles and transformed into my greatest gift. I see struggles as opportunities for growth. Doing this work has shown me that we are capable of more than we think and health begins with our own thoughts about ourselves. I provide a place of safety for any individual I am working with and a place free of judgement and shame. Getting healthy begins from the inside.
I work alongside clients guiding them in healing their relationship with food and body. To discover and maintain true health and wellness one first needs to heal their relationship with themselves. From this place I create an individualized and sustainable plan, taking into account the clients lifestyle, desires, values and any physical and emotional needs. Acceptance of where we are now and learning to love ourselves into the person we wish to become is at the core of my work.
I have been working with clients one on one in person as well as via zoom and phone calls. In the future I would love do more group work and workshops.

Over the past 13 years I have been involved in various volunteer activities in and around the Cowichan Valley. I helped organize One Billion Rising which is a global event created by V (formally Eve Ensler)to bring awareness and end violence against girls and women. I have volunteered for Cowichan Valley International Women's Day events. I have also done work with the unhoused people of my community and am a strong supporter of our LGBTQ+ friends. I believe volunteering is an act of self love and greatly increases our sense of belonging. What is a sense of community without support, love and understanding for ALL of its members.
I have been a hairstylist for the past 27 years. I am currently seeing clients on a very part time basis in my home or theirs. I have enjoyed this career immensely. it has taught me so much about other people and myself. When they say your hair stylist is like your counselor there is some truth in that. I have always loved hearing the stories of others and sharing in my clients joys and struggles. It is a gift when people open their hearts to you and I've been fortunate enough to experience this.
In 1998 my former husband opened his plumbing and heating business. For the first few years I managed the books and did reception. As the company grew and we started a family I worked more part time, filling in where needed and covering for staff.
