Working within a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that all Albertans have access to EMS services where and when they are needed. Department was Operational support for EMS and other EMS Programs. We were responsible for all consumable and direct purchase items that is required Provincially. We also maintained the fleet of 185 vehicles ranging from Ambulances to MCI busses.

• Coordinate daily fleet assignments with Vehicle Technicians (VESST)
• Maintained accurate vehicle assignments through our fleet board system which I developed specifically for our zone
• Coordinate insurance claims, processing Vehicle Incident Reports; receiving, processing and follow up if required. Tracking of vehicle incidents and reporting to Fleet Safety Manager for any trends or serious incidents.
• Improved fleet efficiency by implementing preventive maintenance schedules and coordinating timely repairs.
• Managed fleet inventory and streamlined vehicle allocation processes for optimal usage.
• Coordinated the decommissioning of retired vehicles and equipment, ensuring proper disposal procedures were followed and maximizing resale value where applicable.
• Ensured timely completion of repairs through consistent follow-up with technicians, minimizing delays in returning vehicles to active duty.
• Established clear communication channels with Operational teams, keeping them informed of maintenance schedules and any potential disruptions to their workflow.

VESST Department acts as the main day to day support to EMS Operations Provincially. As part of this team I was responsible for the following:

• Daily fleet assignments
• Daily fleet maintenance tracking and requesting of unit movements as required
• Vehicle shuttling to and from vendors and EMS stations
• Maintenance on capital equipment such as stretchers, lifepack monitors and portable suction
• Shipping and Receiving
• Warehousing of soft and hard EMS supplies
• Commissioning and decommissioning of fleet units and capital equipment
• Cleaning of all EMS fleet vehicles set out as per GAR. Ensuring we follow all IPC procedures
• Decontamination of equipment and vehicles as required
• Stocking of all EMS units, ensuring Provincial standard of stock levels are maintained
• Ordering of supplies via CPSM, pharmacy and other direct order vendors as required
• Reviewed and verified quantities received against bills of lading, contracts and purchase requests.
• Conducted cyclic inventories and requisitioned stock to meet demanded inventory levels.
• Provided cross-training to staff, ensuring continuity in Operations.
• Optimized storage space utilization, reorganized warehouse layout.
• Responded promptly to supply requests from various departments, ensuring operational needs were met efficiently.
• Reduced waste, introduced recycling program for unused supplies.
