I have worked at Sherman Indian High School since 1997 and have made it my passion to empower and help our Native youth so that they may succeed in life and find their purpose. I have been working in the detention program since 2019 where I have been able to implement many interventions that help our students make better choices. I was once a troubled youth so I can relate to many of the struggles our students have, which allows me to communicate effectively with them about their traumas and issues. I know if given the chance I can continue to make a huge difference in our student’s lives by implementing positive reinforcements for students and offering culturally relevant interventions.
