My name is Nicole Calderon, and I'm a newly graduated Practical Nurse with over 700 hours of hands-on clinical experience in medical-surgical, and long term care settings. I recently completed my final preceptorship at the Medicine Hat Hospital, where I further developed my clinical skills, critical thinking, and compassionate approach to patient care. As a mother of eight, I've learned to thrive in fast- paced, ever-changing environments. My life experience has taught me how to stay calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and connect with people from all walks of life. These qualities deeply influence how I show up as a nurse. Grounded, empathetic, organized, and committed to making others feel safe, respected and heard. I'm passionate about providing care that is culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and rooted in human connection. I'm eager to continue learning, growing, and making a positive impact as part of a supportive healthcare team.
