I am seeking to gain more experience in the maritime industry with the goal of becoming a Navigation Officer at McKeil. Having already completed 199 sea days with McKeil, I am eager to continue developing my skills through a training placement that will help me progress toward this objective. I am highly motivated to learn and committed to building a strong career within the company.
I completed two work terms with McKeil Marine, during which I had the opportunity to gain experience on three different types of vessels. I spent 55 days aboard the McKeil Spirit, a cement carrier, serving as a deck cadet. I then completed 74 days on the Evans Spirit, a general cargo vessel, followed by 70 days on the Wicky Spirit, a tanker. These diverse experiences across three vessel types during my two work terms provided me with valuable knowledge and hands-on training that have greatly contributed to my development in the maritime industry.
