Summary
Being a Health Care Assistant, I have become skilled with providing companionship and direct assistance to cognitively impaired patients. Reaching a better understanding and approach for these vulnerable adults. I have been committed to the health care field for a big part of my life including volunteering with elderly at the Mountain Lakes facility in Nelson, BC at the age of 16 years old. Other volunteering I have participated in as highway garbage pick up for Earth Day every year since I was 15 years old. As well as helping serve lunches at the Trafalgar Middle School while I was a student there. I have also committed to other fundraiser activities through the Nelson Air Cadets. I grew up with 5 siblings, being the second oldest, I've learnt a lot about time management, patience and understanding.
