Maintenance Millwright Technician

  • I am currently employed as a Millwright Maintenance Technician an Cenovus’s Sunrise site. In my role I am responsible for working with operations in troubleshooting & repairing rotating equipment in a timely manner to optimize uptime utilization of the assets. Other functions of my position include mentoring service providers & apprentices in safe work practices and policies. Provide technical support for operation challenges, and supporting various facility maintenance projects by acting as the service providers DSR. In the past 5 years I have taken a opportunity to work at Cenovus’s Christina Lake site, which has helped me grow within the organization. I have been filling in for the Lead Maintenance technician & the Stationary lead position for vacation / position coverage for the past year on the A shift.

  • I ended my employment at Bula as their Small Projects Manager. My responsibilities included taking care of all millwrights and projects within the small projects group, including field and high-level supervision, estimating, QA/QC documentation, and project / personnel management. I was responsible for managing projects varying from 3-man simple installations of pumps to crews of 65 personnel of varying trades (Millwrights, Welders, Equipment & Crane Operators, and Laborer’s) constructing & commissioning equipment. When I started with Bula I began my employment as a Journeyman Millwright on the tools performing installation & commissioning activities of various types of equipment (something I still performed on smaller projects at the end of my employment there).
