My extracurriculars played a pivotal role in who I am today. Before high school, I felt lost with many interests, so it was hard to pinpoint what I wanted to do. Through Robotics, Air cadets, Jazz and DECA, I was able to collect my interests and have a clearer idea of who I am as a person. The largest influence was robotics igniting my interest in engineering and technology. Air cadets instilled self-discipline, time management, and the ethic that effort yields rewards. Jazz nurtured confidence, stage presence, and how to listen to others. DECA taught me professionalism, composure under pressure, and problem-solving abilities. Overall all my extracurriculars turned an aimless teenager into an organized young adult.
