  • Company Overview: A 500+ employees / $70MM Sales (at peak) commercial printing plant and division of a large, multi-site provider of catalogs, books, publications and educational printed products - The company was recently acquired by Minnesota-based Bang Printing and this division was closed / merged with Bang's other facilities.
  • Key and contributing member of the Finishing Department leadership team. My roles and duties have evolved and adapted as the company expanded and contracted to match the business dynamics of the commercial printing industry. I've served as Second Shift Supervisor, Project and Process Improvement Manager, Trainer and Equipment Set-Up and Team Leader and Operator.
  • Lead, train, develop, schedule and direct teams of 30 to 50+ production employees and technical-service crews who are operating multiple high speed, Bind & Stitch equipment plus drills & cutters.
  • Monitor crews throughout the shift to achieve maximum efficiency and assign floaters to needed areas or projects. Coordinate overtime, payroll and attendance and conduct regular team meetings.
  • Continuously monitor safety, quality and productivity, plus communications, including interviewing, performance-reviews, positive employee-relations & conflict-resolution.
