I started at Wiens Electric at the age of 15, working part-time in the shop after school and on-site if there was weekend work. Once I had finished high school, I began working full-time for my apprenticeship and my responsibilities continued to increase as I progressed in my apprenticeship. In my 4th year, I was a lead hand on a new warehouse build. Shortly after completing my Red Seal, I became a foreman and was put in charge of projects and apprentices. These projects included new warehouse builds where I had to communicate with other trades and project managers, large and small TI's based on the owner's requests and direction, as well as service calls.
