Head of Senior School

Overall responsibility of providing high quality leadership and management to the Senior School (Grades 10-12), overseeing the academic program and ministry requirements as well as school discipline. The Head of the Senior School is a member of the Academic Administration Team and the Administration Team.


Leadership:

  • As a member of the Academic Administration Team, develop and oversee academic policies, ensuring that they meet school mission and vision, school and departmental goals, course objectives, etc.
  • Work with the Vice Principal to assist in the supervision of the teaching process including Faculty Professional Growth, and review and evaluate the academic programs in the Senior School
  • Participate in the strategic planning process and program development for the Senior School, ensuring the particular needs of the Senior School are recognized
  • Lead professional development initiatives in collaboration with the other Heads of School, Curriculum and Department Leaders (“CDL”) and the Vice Principal


Academic and Co-Curricular Program Responsibilities

  • Work with the Vice Principal to encourage development of new courses and innovative teaching practices
  • Work with the Academic Administration Team to coordinate the reporting processes
