This position is the Senior Manager role in the Undergraduate Admissions Department. The primary responsibility is to manage all elements of processing and assessing 50,000 applications to UBC each year, including application confirmations, communications with applicants, evaluations, rejections, appeals, and deferrals, while assisting marketing, recruitment, and faculties in achieving enrollment goals.

The In-course Scholarship officer duties included working with the Entrance Scholarship Officer to award over $8 million dollars each year. The tasks of the position include: student scholarship advising, evaluation of transcripts, calculating grades, budgeting, monitoring awards, bookkeeping, reviewing applications, awarding, updating scholarship database, participating on Senate Committee on Awards, awarding medals, overseeing athletic scholarships, student mentoring and customer service, supervising two assistants, liaise with various departments throughout the university such as Development, Accounting, Senate, Ceremonies, Admissions, use of various computer systems such as BANNER, SFAS CASCADE, overseeing website content and social media, participating on Mental Health Student Grant Committee, Student Activity Grant Committee and Senate Committee on Awards.
The Financial Aid Assistant works directly with students and government agencies to administer and process loans and grants including working with international students and the US loan student program FAFSA. The tasks of the position include: student loan advising, validation, documentation, processing of loans and bursaries using a variety of university and government portals and data processing. reporting data and information to various government agencies, government policy interpretation. In addition, confirmation of enrollment for; loans, grants, awards, bursaries, high school bursaries, as well as assisting in vetting students for the emergency loan program Working with special students such as those with disabilities assisting them with disability grants and processing paperwork on their behalf.
