A bit about myself:
Took painting lessons seriously at the age of fifteen, working with one of the most prolific Iranian Illustrators and instructors in Iran, and later on specified my field in Illustration, working with one of the top Iranian children's book publishers, subsequently having more than twenty books published in the Middle East, Asia and Europe. Parallel to children's book illustration, after graduating from Sheridan College in 2007 I started working as an illustrator and animator for the Swedish production company Chimney Pot in Dubai. Soon became one of their in-house art director working on short films and commercials
The first feature film I worked on as a production designer and art director was the beautiful and lyrical children's film “The Desert Fish”, shot in Iran and completed in Canada in 2013. Following the success of “The Desert Fish”, I was commissioned as the production designer for the multi-ethnic fiction Australian film “Journey” in 2016. Alongside my freelance illustration and animation work I also work as a matte painter and concept artist for VFX companies in Toronto for the past 10 years.
In 2020, I became a partner in one of the Visual effect houses in Toronto as a creative director.
