Projects

Tropical Tuber Crops Technologies for Livelihood Improvement and commercial farming., This was a 10 weeks internship project at the ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute at the Regional Offices in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha, India, covering Crop Improvement, Agonomy, soil chemistry with a special focus on Crop Protection. For my project, I covered the mass multiplication of Trichoderma Biofungicide, which I cultured in the Laboratory for 2 weeks and later taught this practice locally to the farmers to promote crop growth with minimal fungicide use. 


Through an NGO, Nyallojie Integrated Foundation (NIF) located in Nagongera Tororo, I trained and reported the community Nutrition in Kisoko Village. I carried out Extension Education, where I guided mothers how and when to breast feed, preparing nutritious weaning foods, Nutrition assessment, among many others, with the help of Health centers, Women groups and schools.
