LEADERSHIP

As a former Behavioural Educational Assistant, I fostered a positive school and classroom environment that encouraged student engagement, effective behavioural management, and social-emotional development. I actively contributed to the School Improvement Equity Plan (SIEP) team and the Black Student Alliance (BSA) committee, and I successfully facilitated all aspects of the PALS program, from recruiting to scheduling student leaders. In May 2023, I was honoured with an Award of Distinction during Education Week for my contributions. All these leadership opportunities have transcended into my teaching position, where classroom management is proactive, consistent, and rooted in a deep understanding of students' behaviour.
