I am currently pursuing a two-year after-degree program in Education at the University of Calgary, with an expected graduation date of April 2026. I hold a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education from Mount Royal University, specializing in Physical Literacy, which emphasizes promoting lifelong healthy, active lifestyles through physical activity. My academic background has equipped me to create inclusive and engaging learning environments.
In addition to my studies, I serve as Vice President and social media manager of The Kalix Legacy Foundation (KLF), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting youth sports by assisting financially challenged families. I coordinate fundraisers and events, manage social media, and design promotional content. I also lead a new KLF initiative, a free goalie camp, where I serve as the coordinator and dryland training coach, helping young athletes improve their fitness and performance.
My leadership roles in KLF reflect my dedication to community engagement, youth development, and making sports accessible for all.
The Kalix Legacy Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that is run by friends and family of Kalix Langenau. All of our funding is raised through sponsorships, donations, and fundraising. We have continued to honor Kalix's legacy and memory by turning his last paycheck from Explosive Edge into the start of The Kalix Legacy Foundation. We will always be proud of the person he is, and how he touched so many in the all-too-short life that he lived.
The Ringette for All (RFA) program is for children with cognitive and/or physical challenges. Through an inclusive, safe, and fun environment, RFA players will learn the fundamentals of the sport as well as develop life skills that will benefit them in and out of the rink.
