Worked in the food server industry through the last three summers where I consistently received positive feedback from my employer and customers. In addition to my accomplishments in leadership, one of the more valuable skills that I gained from this job is how to coordinate with my coworkers during stressful situations.
I worked on a road maintenance crew for a summer which introduced me to a labour intensive work environment and a variety of related equipment. This experience showed me the value of following instruction and working safely.
I grew up in the County of Lacombe on a acreage where I learned about yard and house maintenance.
During my time in high school, I was a part of the robotics club that competed in the First Tech Challenge (FTC). Our team placed 2nd in Alberta, losing only to the team that won nationals. I learned how to problem solve with a team, as well as how to properly delegate tasks to ensure efficiency.
At the end of high school, I received the full Rutherford Scholarship (>80% average through grades 10-12).
