  • To design/implement the criteria/standards for the selection of new Distance Education Centers and to implement those on the existing Distance Education Centers, as well, to bring those at par with the Distance Education Centers, selected under new criteria/standards, and to set up Distance Learning Management Unit (DLMU) as per guidelines of Higher Education Commission and requirement of the University
  • To advertise admissions and students’ placement at its recognized Distance Education Centers in all the Provinces of Pakistan, only in those Undergraduate Degree Programs which are being offered at the principal seat, viz Peshawar
  • To ensure that record of the admissions and registration of enrolled and graduated students is properly maintained and preserved
  • To implement QEC standards on the Distance Education/Mass Education Programs, as were designed for the Main Campus
  • To coordinate with the Controller of Examinations for making exclusive arrangements for the examinations and assessment of awards in distance learning
  • To coordinate with concerned Sectional Heads for maintenance of students’ Admission/Registration Form (in original), Awards Lists (Semester-wise Results), Tabulation Register (for scrutiny of award lists) and Gazette Notification (of graduates) in hard as well as in soft form through automation to determine the authenticity of a University graduate and to avoid malpractice in the students’ record
  • To coordinate with Director, Data & Communication for the development/maintenance of MIS and Online Learning Management System and to implement, accordingly
  • To coordinate with Heads of the Teaching Departments to upload courses on web portal through Moodle and to have latest/revised courses for further communication to the DECs
  • To ensure that every Distant Learning Program of the University is in-line with the academic criteria, (admissions, teaching/coaching, etc) defined by the Higher Education Commission
  • To ensure strict monitoring and vigilance of DECs as per University’s/HEC’s set standards
  • Any other duty assigned by the Competent Authority.

  • Time and motion study was also conducted in Tobacco feeding area, in this way 10 % work force was reduced
  • Threshing trials were conducted at optimum setting to reduce scrap/ waste production
  • Tobacco curling was reduced in Redrying machining by reducing temperature from 70 -80º C to 55-60º C
  • Small partial (1/8 inch) was separated before threshing to reduce its further degradation in threshing process and add it directly in final product.
