Flexible Software Defined Radio Transceiver

Team Member (01/2023 - Present)

  • In the processes of designing the digital demodulator of a Radio transceiver capable of demodulating multiple modulation formats
  • Implementing RTL digital hardware on an FPGA, that interfaces with main radio via PMOD ADC and DAC.
  • Learning PCB design to interface with various components.
  • Skills acquired: System Verilog (and test benches), ModelSim, Altium, Multisim, Intel FPGA Quartus.

Disney Character Classification Model

Team Leader (05/2022 - 09/2022)

  • Designed a machine learning model aimed to map 224x224 images to 10 correct character labels, in order to address copyright issues. Used data augmentation to gather 30,000 training images.
  • Implemented transfer learning via self trained Auto-encoder, as well as architectures like AlexNet.
  • Achieved 96% test accuracy in unseen data.
  • Skills acquired: Google Colab, Python, machine learning libraries, Google Colab, project management, Quick learning.

Reversi Algorithm

Course Project (01/2023 - Present)

  • Wrote an algorithm that plays Reversi (Othello) against humans or another AI; simulated game board on terminal.
  • Implemented mini-max algorithm that looked 5 moves ahead, and used weighted tiles to inform an optimal move.
  • Achieved top 40th position in course leaderboard.
  • Currently working to simulate the game environment on VGA display via an FPGA.

Robotic Tanks

Team leader (02/2020 - 03/2020)

  • Designed and built Arduino based Bluetooth controlled robotic tanks similar to those found in robot wars.
  • Organized an LDR-array to act as targets for the opponent tank to hit on using a laser.
