Mostafa ElSayed is a seasoned senior structural engineer and project manager with over 18 years of extensive expertise in designing, consulting, and retrofitting concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures. Mr. ElSayed has held prominent governmental roles, including serving as a National Expert at the Egyptian Cabinet of Ministers and working as a structural consultant for prestigious institutions such as Cairo University-Egypt and the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. Furthermore, ElSayed has actively contributed to the design and construction of a diverse array of projects spanning across Canada, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Egypt. These projects encompass significant infrastructure and municipal undertakings, high-rise buildings, hotels, schools, and residential structures, all meticulously designed in accordance with Canadian, American, or Egyptian standards.
Complementing his extensive industry experience, Dr. ElSayed currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor within the Structural Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University - Egypt. Prior to his academic role, he worked as a Research Assistant at McMaster University, Canada. Dr. ElSayed's educational background includes earning both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Structural Engineering from Cairo University in 2005 and 2008, respectively, and achieving a PhD in Civil Engineering from McMaster University, Canada, in 2014.
