During Night Shifts, help residents feel comfortable to provide quiet environment to them. To check if their TV or Radio still turn on so turn them off, to attend their needs at night if they call us. To listen to them how they feel while i'm changing their diapers, And we do mostly changing diapers twice at night . I do mostly positioning every 2 hours to prevent bed sores to residents . And quietly rechecking residents safety in bed ( if their bed in lowest position). Assists resident using the washroom or offer urinals to male residents if its needed . Cleaning their wheelchairs, walkers or disinfect it at night, to prepare diapers for the residents for day shifts and evening shifts. And report to the nurse if residents is in pain or anything that needs nurse intervention.
During the day shift, i have to assist the residents for their activities of daily living (ADL'S ) including bathing, grooming, assists in dressing themselves etc , Change bed sheets in the morning .And to provide safe mobility to help residents to move in or transfer them to their wheelchair or to walk them around or walk inside FM hallway. To feed and assists the residents for breakfast and lunch, mostly assist them what they want to do in the morning.
During Evening Shifts, i have to continue giving baths to those residents scheduled in the afternoon bath, to feed and assists for dinner time and giving snacks, bring them to the washroom and change them. Then i will bring them to their rooms and giving them dessert with coffee, juice, tea or water. while they are still in sitting position, after few hours then assist them to their bed ready for the night shifts.
