The role includes:

  • Utilizing existing science or creating science needed, especially nutritional and feed/food science, for forming methods, standards, and additional required documentation that will serve for scientific advocacy in front of regulatory bodies, pet food industry associations, and veterinary professionals.
  • Implemented and developed operational standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Actively co-chairing Nutrition Work Stream in a global pet food association (GAPFA) as well as providing support to local and regional trade associations. Develops annual priorities within trade association to promote business strategy.
  • Continued from previous role: Deployed Global Regulatory Advocacy strategy within more than 15 markets, focused on pet food nutritional and dietetic veterinary products standards and regulatory framework, supported individual markets in creating tailored strategy adapted to their market, provided market-specific nutritional and scientific advocacy expertise, and creation of educational plans for stakeholders.

  • Built from ground up Trade Center of Expertise for the Region "Emerging & Seeds" in Royal Canin. Created regional trade lane strategy, business cases, dealt with complexity of regulatory and sanitary requirements.
  • Pinpointed the need for pork free products (regulatory or consumer perception) in many countries in the region, and the opportunity the business has with such products in general and initiated the discussion on the need in S&OP+ forums, which led to today's planning of such products for Royal Canin.
  • Providing regulatory expertise with project teams that create nutritional solutions (complete feed or functional complements) with external manufacturers in a multi-region landscape.

  • Providing nutritional support internally in R&D units [in projects, research, formulation, clinical questions (technical support), and training], as well as externally
  • Primary leader of different projects, involving novel ingredients (proteins), and start-ups

  • Chair of several committees handling key nutritional matters.
  • Supported the creation of a Business Unit from an Importer Unit - from regulatory, scientific communication, and scientific affairs perspectives, as well as participated in the launch. Support provided was at tactical and operational levels.
