Responsibilities for the Grounds Landscape Foreperson include but are not limited to supervising up to 30 employees on a daily basis, assigning and prioritizing daily tasks, dealing with school staff, working with other forepersons to co ordinate work, using a computer with programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook, training and evaluating new employees, mediating between employees during conflicts and co ordinating snow removal work. Snow removal work can include co ordinating as many as 90 employees to clear snow from 138 school sites, scheduling training on equipment for trainees and trainers, overseeing equipment repair and equipment installation.

Assisting the foreperson with the same tasks within the department as well as equipment requests, equipment inventory, creating maps, and training new employees. Able to replace foreperson at any time when they are absent

Tutored a variety of students at all grade levels and abilities in all subjects including behaviour. Co ordinated with parents and school staff for homework assistance and strategies in learning. Provided all materials and set up learning programs in all areas.

Duties were maintaining the grounds at 20 school sites which could include anything from maintaining shrub beds, to clearing pathways of debris or hazardous material, performing drainage investigations and clearing catch basins, maintaining jump pits, pruning and plant identification and snow removal. Operating equipment was also required and this went from small equipment such as blowers or trimmers and large equipment such as trucks with snow removal equipment installed

Duties included cutting grass and blowing pathways as well as trimming grass and snow removal. Snow removal was done using a ride on machine and a push spreader

Worked with students in kindergarten to Grade 12 to promote learning and social development at all levels. This could include managing crisis situations, keeping students and staff safe during a crisis in class and outside class, helping students at all levels with academic goals through one on one instruction and in small groups, dealing with all professionals involved with the students as well as parents, creating lessons for students in all areas with adaptive tasks, and managing and maintaining effective communication
