Provide medical administrative support to the clinic, perform eye examinations, roaming patients, back office documentation, receiving and escorting patients, record patient history and personal information, measure vital signs, such as blood pressure, help physicians with patient examinations, give patients injections or medications as directed by physicians and as permitted by state law, schedule patient appointments, prepare blood samples for laboratory tests and proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS Level II coding systems.
Scheduling appointments, performs clinical tasks and completes appropriate forms as required by department, responsible for administering medications, including injections, cleaning, processing, sterilizing, and checking instruments, performing computer data entry functions, clinical/technical skills specific to the department, performing other related duties as necessary, customer service, practices customer service standards as defined by the Medical Center and specified department, anticipates the customer’s needs, takes proactive steps to meet those needs, by listening and taking responsibility within scope to ensure issues are resolved, promptly responds to alarms and patient requests, facilitates the customers’ ability to utilize resources.
