Oversee the entire registration process for physicians and surgeons.
Review and assess the applications submitted by physicians and surgeons seeking registration.
Verify the completeness of the application, supporting documents, educational qualifications, professional certifications and any other required information.
Point of contact throughout the registration process. Communicating with applicants, Regional Health Authorities, and other stakeholders.
Ensuring the registration process aligns with the regulations, policies, and standards set by the College.
Maintain accurate records and generate reports related to registration statistics, trends, and compliance.
All administrative duties which include managing phone calls, emails, and other forms of correspondence. Draft and proofread documents, letters, reports on behalf of the Registrar. Managing schedules, arranging meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements. Preparing meeting material, agendas, and minutes. Issuing invoices and processing payments.
Management of office supplies, equipment and inventory.
Data entry, updating databases, spreadsheets, and other documents.

Handling inquiries and complaints about the practice of medicine and the conduct of registrants in accordance with the provisions of the Medical Act and associated regulations, the Code of Ethics, Professional Standards, and administrative law principles, which includes triaging complaints, leading investigations, conducting research into conduct and sanctions, and preparing summaries of complaints,
Facilitating informal resolution of complaints whenever possible.
Preparing complaints for presentation to the Complaints Committee, the Review Committee or to a Board of Inquiry
Consulting with external legal counsel as directed.
Preparing meetings minutes and drafting decisions and orders.
Ensuring that appropriate confidentiality of complaint files and records is maintained and determining access to files related to regulatory functions.
Continuously assessing the effectiveness of processes to manage complaints and strategizing and implementing new processes to manage and maintain files, data and information concerning complaints and any resulting investigations.
