  • Performed TDR(time domain reflectometry) testing on cabling and meggering of cabling to ensure there was no grounding after cables were routed.
  • Responsible for leading 2 teams of 6 persons to complete space closeout per requirements of NSI 009-81. Duties for space closeout required completing connections, cable labeling and banding also.
  • Additional closeout requirements included closure of over 90 MCT/MP to include air testing per requirements of NSI 009-25.
  • Assisted with the inventory control for cables and connectors by assuring all equipment and material were logged and accounted for during removal and installation phases.
  • Responsible for rigging and mounting of UPS transformers of units 3KA, 5KA, MBTS of all internal and external efforts of equipment and navigational units on the LPD-23 USS Anchorage.
  • Assisted Team Lead with space/compartment closeouts by walking with ship Force confirming that all work required by contract is complete by ship force satisfaction and inspection. Satisfied any discrepancies existed.
  • Maintained safe work environment by ensuring adherence to all established safety guidelines and keeping clean, clutter-free workspace.
  • Worked on the recovery of the USS Shoup helping to run cabling of 25k feet for AFT steering control system. Connecting and banding also applying table identifications.
  • Learned to apply air penetration testing of the 009-81 for the MCT closeout after running cabling through bulkheads by applying air and water to assure seal.
  • Helped with the inventory control for cables and connectors by assuring all equipment and material was logged and counted for when disbursed to mechanics.
