I have played piano for the past sixteen years. I was enrolled in the performance test, Certificate of Merit, for the piano. This test is maintained by the Music Teacher's Association of California. I have completed Certificate of Merit through level nine, and received honors for three of these levels.

I volunteered for my piano instructor and her affiliates in the Music Teacher's Association of California. Duties included assisting, preparing, and organizing recitals, developing and preparing certificates, and assisting with other tasks. I assisted in instructing the student workshops designed to prepare the attending students for the Certificate of Merit performance exam. We designed games and activities that reinforced the lessons and information students needed to succeed.
