Volunteer Experience

The Together Project- Volunteer Online Tutor July 2021 – November 2021

The Together Project connects refugee newcomers and Canadians to build stronger, more integrated communities. In this Volunteer Online Tutor role, I was tasked with meeting once a week for an hour to an hour and a half with the son of a Syrian Refugee family. I assisted him with his homework that consisted of Math and English as a second language.


Access Employment- Empowering Women Speed Mentoring March 2022

Empowering Women is one-week intensive program focuses on supporting newcomer women to be successful in their careers in Canada. This program is delivered by ACCES Employment in partnership with TD. Through customized workshops, coaching, mentorship, mock interviews and speed mentoring, Empowering Women provides participants with the skills and confidence to become a leader in their sector. The program includes a cohort of 20 internationally trained women in IT, Analytics, Finance, Branch Banking and HR sectors
