VOLUNTEERING & COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT , 2010, Head of the Leadership Council – Kherad & Tawsea Cultural Association I had a vital role in Kherad and Tawsea Cultural Association, which I, and some of my dedicated friends, established in 2006. Those activities were aimed to advocate for education, civic participation and individual freedom.

Additional Information

  • Kherad and Twasea implemented several educational, cultural, and social projects in Kabul, as well as, in the remote areas of Ghazni and Maidan Wardak provinces. Between 2006 to 2010, we offered educational programs (math, science, computers and English Language courses), cultural programs (book reading competitions, trial examinations for university entrance, informative workshops on new farming methods, academic discussions on the human rights values, democracy, modernizations, globalizations and civilization. We worked with the students to educate them on how to study, how to pass the university entrance exam and how to set their goals and future development plans. Each year, we assisted as many as one thousand students through our various programs and projects. In my part, I played a leading role in designing and implementing those projects.
