My journey in swimming didn't start like most others; it began with a childhood accident that left me with a deep fear of water. As a young child, I accidentally fell into a 6-foot-deep well. The experience was terrifying, and it left me with a phobia of deep water that lingered for years.
For a long time, the thought of water filled me with dread. But instead of letting that fear define me, I decided to face it head-on. I gradually started learning to swim, pushing myself little by little to go deeper and further. It wasn't easy, and there were moments of doubt, but I was determined to overcome my fear.
As I gained confidence, swimming became more than just a way to conquer my phobia—it became a passion. I started training rigorously, dedicating countless hours to honing my skills in open water swimming. The very thing that once terrified me had now become my source of strength.
Over the past four years, I've participated in several open water competitions, including an 8 km race in the sea. Each race is a testament to the journey I've undertaken—from the frightened child who fell into a well to the professional swimmer standing at the starting line, ready to take on any challenge the ocean throws my way.
Today, I am proud to say that I have not only overcome my fear of deep water but have also established myself as a professional in the sport I love. My story is a reminder that no matter how deep our fears may run, with perseverance and courage, we can rise above them and achieve greatness. position in swimming
