Reporting to the QA/QC Manager. Responsibilities include but not be limited to the following.

• To inspect and record the construction works carried out by contractor on site and resolve the site generated quarries by coordinating with the Road Engineer, Utility Engineer & Material Engineer.

• Conduct daily inspection on site to monitor the works implementation of the project, based on inspection request of the Contractor.

• Inspection of all underground utilities before preparation of road works to ensure that the construction drawings and specifications have been followed.

• Inspection and Testing for (Existing Formation, Subgrade, Subbase, Road Base, Asphalt Base Course and Asphalt Wearing Course, as per Drawing).

• Inspection of Road Marking and Road Signs.

• Inspection of Kerbstone, Paving blocks for Medians, parking bayand footpath bay.

• Inspection of Pile, Pile cap & Gantry Installations (Boring, Encasement, reinforcement, and concrete Pouring).

• Inspection of Foul sewer Manholes and house connection Chambers

• Inspection and Testing of Foul Sewer Pipeline ( Setting out, geotextile, granular bedding, GRP pipe line, granular surround, granular backfilling, Air test, CCTV camera, Deflection test )

• Inspection of House connection chambers and connection to the foul sewer manholes.

• Inspection of Surface water Manholes and HDPE pipe lining.

• Inspection of Surface water Gully & catchpit chamber installation and Connecting to Surface water manholes.

• Inspection of street light cable laying and Installation of street light foundation.

• Inspect the delivered concrete and perform workability tests and casting cubes for testing purposes.

• Inspect the delivered Asphalt, check the temperature and collect samples for further testing.

• Provide technical information to fellow colleagues as part of the continuous professional development.

• Monitor the quality of work produced by the Contractor at all stages

• Check / review and verify of all material test results submitted by TPL.

• Determine the suitability of on-site and off-site materials to be used in the project and organise field and laboratory tests, conducted by TPL, on construction materials to ascertain their compliance with the specifications and to determine its acceptability for use on the project.

• Ensure that all materials and equipment incorporated into permanent works are approved and following contract requierements

• Review Material data sheet etc, for compliance and installation methods.

• Periodically witness tests at the independent lab with Material Engineer.

• Identify non-conforming work and materials, maintain records and follow up that corrective action is taken by the contractor and close out each issue.

• Ensures safety measure on site

• Ensure proper Documentation of test reports received from TPL.

• Preparing inspection request .

• Inspection of delivered materials, ensuring they meet requirements.

• Report any failing borderline test results immediately to the QA/QC Manager for escalation.

• Recording all the pass and fail on the test result.

• Preparing the materials log and Ensure that required samples are taken according to ITP

• Resubmission of inspection requests for final approval as part of handing over process of a Project.

• Preparing and closing of snag lists.

• Officiate weekly QA/QC meeting with the contractor/subcontractor, discusses all the activities, and recommend workable solutions for any problems encounter at site.

• Provide feedback to the PM/RE, as needed, regarding QA/QC issues that need to be addressed.

• Ensuring non-compliant works are re-tested, remedied or removed and Non-Compliance Report (NCR) is closed out.

• Attend weekly coordination QA/QC meeting with client and discuss all the activities and relevant problems encounter at site
