Currently enrolled as a full-time clinical fellow in the General Internal Medicine program at Sunnybrook Health Sciences, daily duties include:
• Attend daily morning ward rounds.
Practice patients' handover and documenting progress notes.
Daily multidisciplinary team rounds, including allied health team communication.
• Perform clinical interventions as needed.
Attend patients' family meetings, and discuss progress, medical plans, and goals of care.
Complete patients' discharge notes.
• Attend/manage patients in rapid referral clinics as needed.
After residency worked as a staff physician in the Intensive Care/ subdivision of internal medicine Department
• Managed inpatient critically ill patients with cardiac diseases, arrhythmias, asthma, COPD, occupational respiratory diseases, ARDS, pneumonia, multi-organ failures, neurological disorders, alcohol and drug intoxications and counseling, HTN, renal diseases, liver diseases, DM, high-risk pregnancy patients, anxiety and mental health illnesses, pediatric, and geriatric patients.
Special focus on patients needing respiratory support, mechanical ventilation, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Special focus on patients requiring renal replacement therapy.
• Member of the Code Blue team, Rapid Response Team (RRT), and Trauma Code Team.
Helped establish the first Tele ICU in the Middle East in collaboration with Philips Telemedicine.
