As a Materials supervisor at Skyjack, I coordinate with all departments and areas within our facility including shipping, receiving, warehousing, production line and restocking. This also applies to other departments such as the weld shop, paint line, quality and R&D departments. Tasks and responsibilities included:

  • Managing day-to-day shipping and receiving, typically overseeing more than 18 inbound flatbeds, dry vans and expedites to our receiving dock as well as outbound flatbeds and containers shipping finished product to our customers, ranging from 1-20 shipments per day (100k-6mil$).
  • Overseeing more than $30mil in inventory and supervised at peak 54 employees in 75,000 square foot warehouse. Excluding outdoor storage.
  • Inspecting incoming supplies to conform with materials specifications and quality standards.
  • Establishing and enforced clear goals to keep employees working collaboratively.
  • Coordinating with internal departments to maximize operational efficiency across production and administrative areas.
  • Conducting evaluations and reviews for at peak 37 employees, to identify and corrected performance and personnel issues and reduce impact to business operations.
