Responsible for the division performance in regards of service, profitability and growth.
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.
Daily supervision and management of US dispatchers, local, regional and over-the-road drivers.
Develop and maintain KPIs on driver and dispatch performance.
Optimize daily operations.
Resolve problems, provide ongoing support, and be proactive with services.
Manage the planning of the loads, drivers and equipment of the division.
Manage capacity so it is maximized in regard to the driver’s availability.
Ensure proper load capacity management needed by destinations and profitability.
Monitor and improve service levels to ensure customers’ expectations are satisfied.
Provide leadership in the implementation of best business practices.
Develop, execute, and assess continuous improvement plans to maintain high levels of service and efficiency.
Lead the operations team in troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day issues.
Actively participate in driver retention initiatives; listen to driver issues and concerns and insure quick and proper resolution.
Work with the Maintenance providers to optimize tractor and trailer utilization
Manage the equipment pool so it is used to its maximum capacity.
Support and enforce the Company’s Health, Safety and Compliance policies
Ensure that the system is properly updated and used (TMW) by his team.
Act as liaison between teams, staff and management.
Work closely with the customer service department.
Train workers in duties and policies.
Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization
Plan manpower and equipment needs for the division.
Communicate staffing needs to management.
