• Responsible for both commissioning and testing electrical and mechanical systems, sub-systems and components installed in LRV.

• Performs a variety of assignments such as replacement of failed parts or equipment, test, operation, and maintenance of fleet

• Record and report the incidents of electromechanical equipment/subsystem failures and perform preliminary troubleshooting, contact engineering or supplier for solution if necessary.

• Install and assemble railway vehicle components using standard work procedures, hand & power tools

• Read and apply electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints and other technical documentation

• Perform maintenance & Replacement on mechanical assemblies and different parts such as track brakes, IX box installation, Master Controller, HVAC units and lighting etc.
• Perform Re-Leveling of LRV load leveling System and measuring values to the standard checklist.

• Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates.

• Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.

• Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.

• Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeter, and bridges.

Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed

• Assist in running an efficient maintenance operation which is able to fulfill operational and customer demand and meet set targets.
• Responsible for the safety of individuals on the team and that of those impacted by any maintenance activity
• Record and document all work carried out on all equipment on both paper and electronic systems as is required
• Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
• Control and organize the team’s daily work schedule to achieve targets set
• Health & Safety – maintain a safe & secure work environment for all employees

• Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspection results
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with quality control and safety standards
• Attend meetings with clients and contractors to discuss inspection findings and recommendations
• Inspection of Set up and calibration of NDT equipment for testing.
• Build up procedures for appropriate assessment of objects under examination, guaranteeing exacting adherence to safety guidelines.
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
