Electro-Mechanical Technician offering background in mechanical design, manufacturing, Electrical Troubleshooting & Maintenance, and product inspection using NDT. Applies knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications.
• Performs a variety of assignments such as replacement of failed parts or equipment, test, operation, and maintenance of fleet
• Record and report the incidents of electromechanical equipment/subsystem failures and perform preliminary troubleshooting, contact engineering or supplier for solution if necessary.
• Install and assemble railway vehicle components using standard work procedures, hand & power tools
• Read and apply electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints and other technical documentation
• Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates.
• Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
• Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
• Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeter, and bridges.
