Strongly self motivated with a high degree of interest in using mathematical tools such as statistics, AI and simulation to gain a deep understanding of real-world systems. In the age of information, I don't believe that a cursory-level of understanding of data will allow companies to excel within their market. The insights that remain in order to gain a market advantage reside within mathematical spaces which humans are not able to intuit, and mathematical modeling such as AI and simulation provide a window into these otherwise hidden patterns. Peeling back complex systems and discovering new insights is what is most exciting about data science to me.
