  • Monk's and Jonesies is a multi-million dollar restaurant operation in Fredericton, NB
  • I took on the roll of kitchen manager at the flagship restaurant when the previous kitchen manager moved to their new second location
  • In this role, I kept on all previous employees and recruited several more when the staff had to be divided for the second location
  • I increased profits by researching which styles of dishes that targeted our local demographic best through multiple weekly specialty dishes
  • The most successfully selling dishes were then added to our menu
  • I lowered costs by improving employee productivity through individualized training protocols for each chef, which in turn brought down labor costs.

  • Shannex retirement home was an exciting opportunity to work with an entirely new demographic
  • Catering meals for people entering the final chapters of their lives was a very rewarding experience
  • I was able to build relationships with many of the residents and sought out ways to improve their time with the company
  • I did this by making individual residents feel seen and cared for
  • For example, designing and delivering individual care packages and individual birthday cakes with small celebrations for each resident
  • I was able to create many dishes through communications with the residents that suited them better, which lead to a 16% customer satisfaction rating for the kitchen by the residence over my year worker there.

  • During my time with the Radisson, I worked directly under the director of food and bar services
