Summary

My journey with the City began in November 2022 when hired on as a contract employee with Solid Waste Collection out of the Bermondsey Yard. As an operator on a packer while collecting garbage, recycling, organics and yard waste, I learned the importance of communication with my crew member as well as the safe and efficient manner to drive/operate the truck and attached equipment. Immediately after receiving full-time status, I moved from packer to an auto truck. The experience of working independently place more emphasis on safe driving habits, problem-solving and customer relations. When proficient in day-to-day operations, in April 2023 I spoke with General Supervisor Stephen DeAbreu and Manager Frank Sguigna about my future with the City of Toronto. Our conversation led to an AR Supervisor position at Bermondsey. I truly believe I was afforded this opportunity because of hard work, dedication and the ability to be proactive and adapt quickly to change. The AR Supervisor position has been challenging but I embraced the challenge and thrive on controlling/organizing a day that most people see as chaotic.

I am proud of my achievements to date and look forward to more responsibility and a continued future with the City of Toronto. Please peruse my resume for insight into my current responsibilities and key qualifications for the position.
