Work History

Volunteer

I Volunteered in Programs in My Church.
  • VBS is a program that goes on for a week every summer in my church. I have volunteered for the past 4 years, helping in three different roles. I assisted with preparing snacks for around 100 kids and volunteers, along with cleaning the kitchen for three years and prepared the supplies for crafts last year when I was volunteering at two churches. I was also a group helper this year, which meant supervising the kids in the pre-school and kindergarten age group, along with helping them with any elements of the craft that they weren't able to do on their own.
  • Adventure Club is also a church program that I have volunteered for in three previous years. i have helped at the snack station every year, which mainly consists of setting out a pre-made snack and glass of water out for each group of kids before they arrive at the station, cleaning up any garbage and wiping tables after they have left, and then vacuuming and washing all of the dishes.

A Missions Trip With My School Class
02.2024 - 02.2024
  • This February, I went with my class to Vancouver on a missions trip where we were split into groups to help out at different organizations. I volunteered at St. Joseph's Food Bank in Mission, BC, near Vancouver. We volunteered for four days there, two of which we spent stocking shelves and organizing food and other products, and then the next two days the food bank was open and we were there to help people if they needed and restock any shelves that were getting low if we had more in stock to fill them up again. I:
  • Organized, sorted and stored donations in orderly systems to minimize waste.
  • Restocked shelves with products.
  • Maintained cleanliness of resale shop by organizing and sorting stock items.
  • Assisted clients in selecting groceries based on individual needs.

My hobbies include: baking, reading, solving word and mathematical puzzles.

I enjoy reading almost any genre of book, but my favorites are historical fiction, romance, and fantasy. Baking is also one of my favorite activities to do, especially decorating the baked cakes and cupcakes. During free time I love doing Wordles, crosswords, Nerdles (the math version of Wordle), and sudokus.
