Ready, Set Go Back to School Fair (Founding Member) This event was a collaboration of school divisions and community partners to provide students experiencing poverty with the supplies necessary to go back to school. This event was unique in that it not only provided school supplies but also included hair cuts, new shoes, professional family photo as well as opportunity for dental checks and immunizations.
Building Brains and Futures (Harvard's Frontiers of Innovation) This collaboration between school divisions and the University of Lethbridge's Canadian Center for Behavioral Neuroscience focused on implementation of parent cafes in conjunction with school early learning centers. Through this initiative a curriculum was developed with games to improve executive function in children.
Collaborative Support Services Education, health and child and family services collaborated to pool resources to improve access to specialized services such as occupational therapy and speech language therapy.
