- on shift basis, supervise and be responsible for safe execution of planned or emergent maintenance in accordance with approved procedures, and adhere to due diligence in reading of controlled documentation and ensure clear communication as rolled out to subordinates. Develop recommendations for improvements to maintenance plans and procedure, tools and techniques. Observe maintenance functions to ensure adherence to safety practices and work methods. Provide oversight on maintenance activities to witness critical steps, post maintenance and post modification testing, troubleshooting and releasing equipment for service.

-assign planned or emergent work based on experience, qualifications and competency. Ensure work order task instructions are complied with and work is executed in a safe and methodical manner in accordance with approved procedures, work plans, fault-finding plans line instructions and manuals. Perform pre-job briefings to review work to be executed, procedures, work plans, fault finding plans etc to be adhered to, PPE to be worn as prescribed by the hazards present, and verify work reports and findings are documented in a thoroughly detailed manner at the end of the task or working shift.

-perform predictive, preventative or emergent maintenance on plant equipment in accordance with approved work instructions, procedures, work plans, or fault finding plans. Wear personal protective equipment based on hazards present. Partake in pre-job briefings to ensure work order task instructions are understood, which approved procedures or relevant documentation is to be adhered to, and the results expected.

-performed installation and maintenance on electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the Electrical Safety Code and approved trade methods and practices. Provided mentorship to electrical apprentices in the safe conduct of trade practices.
