Lancaster

Summary

I am interested in how United States policy disproportionately affects low-income individuals and hope to one day be able to address the inequalities they face. The reason I am interested in this topic is because transitioning from Lancaster to La Jolla, CA I've seen first hand how a city with a better economic system often has much more resources and opportunities.

I am currently interested in internship positions, customer service roles and more!

Work History

Legal Access Intern

JusticeCorp- AmeriCorp
09.2025 - Current

As a Legal Access Intern for the Small Claims and Civil Business Office in the Hall of Justice, I help self represented litigants understand the often complex legal system. Within Small Claims, I help courtroom clerks with the check-in process to help expedite that process, making sure the Plaintiff and Defendant are there and have followed all the proper channels. I make note on if the service was proper, if they had exchanged exhibits and if they need an interpreter. For the civil business office, I'm tasked with helping self represented litigants with the temporary restraining order process, helping explain the confusing legal jargon.

Muir Student Affairs Intern

University Of California San Diego
09.2025 - Current

As a Student Affairs Intern for Muir College, I am tasked with programming events on three specific focus groups: DEI and Culture, Student Activities, and Transfer/First Gen/Commuter. Through programming, I am tasked with making sure all processes run smoothly, that we are within the given budget and that we are creating community engagement. This role also offers skills working behind a desk where we have to send emails and maintain communication with the Dean of Student affairs, make sure that people have the reservations for the rooms they're requesting and keeping a record of who's checking out what keys and when they were returned.

Recreational Program Leader

City of Lancaster, CA
08.2024 - Current

As a Recreational Program Leader for the City of Lancaster Aquatics Center, I am the first person that people see when they get to the city pool, and the last person they see when they leave. Through this job I manage the monetary transactions as well as help people register for swim lessons, memberships and rentals. I'm also tasked with managing the supplies, keeping an inventory form of first aid kits, trauma bags, and the miscellaneous items. Since this is at an aquatics center, I was trained in CPR and First Aid response.
